Becky & Nick {we will!}

I know sometimes I get too sappy on my couples when I'm capturing their engagement session, but really, isn't it fun to be cheesy! Take for instance Alissa and Jason! When we met for a walk through at their ceremony and reception venue, Santa Barbara Historical Museum, it was just too easy for me to get amazing photos of the two of them hamming it up for me, well Jason hamming and Alissa giggling. :) They are seriously so cute together and their laughter was beyond contagious. Just click on the photos below to check out how cute they really are, just being them. {A&J ~ Thanks again for the fun afternoon and I can't WAIT for your wedding next month!}

Deborah and Jeremy are probably the funniest couple I've ever photographed. I was laughing so hard during their engagement session at UCSB, where they met four years ago, that I had to seriously concentrate on not shaking my camera. We walked all over campus, enjoying the gorgeous sunset time and ended up at campus point. The very spot where Jeremy first told Deborah that he liked her. I mean, too cute for words! And so so special. :) I'm glad the moon came out just for them and made for some amazing shots. Click on the image below to view their super fun slide show! I can't wait for their wedding in August at Alice Keck Park Gardens and the University Club! {Thanks again Deborah and Jeremy for the laughs and love. XO}
Jennie and Tom were so excited to be having their engagement photos made it was completely easy for me to capture their loving and playful spirit. This is one part of my job that i love the most, truly getting to know each couple. I include an engagement session with every wedding booked so that I learn this very important detail of a relationship, how two people are together. It helps me know them better, and I always say the more I know you, the better your pictures will be. Once Jennie and Tom started talking about how they met and how Tom prposed, it was giddiness and smoosh from there on and their photos just ooze with cheesy good love! My favorite. They will be celebrating their weding day at Orfila Winery this May and I am so excited to be a part of it. :) Click on the image below to view their adorable slide show.
How sweet it is to be loved by you! Mary and Ian are that saying come to life. I'm serious! When I first met with them, I fell in love with their love. Their wedding is on a budget, which most couples can relate to, and they wanted to have the best wedding day possible, but knew they had to cut some corners, but also knew their photos were on the top of the priority list. Yay!! Since I am always willing to negotiate and work with my clients to find a happy meeting place for us both, we found the perfect photography package just for them. When we met for their engagement session, they brought along their whole family, aka their dog Murray, and I just knew the photos would turn out spectacular! Over a weekend, I met with Rachel and Ken at the gorgeous Pepperdine University in Malibu for their adorable engagement session and I am just in love with the photos. Rachel and Ken are two very sweet individuals but put them together and you've got a whole lot of laughing and cuteness all around. We had a blast trucking all over campus, plus we got some workout let me tell you! That place is on a hill! Christine and Bobby are two amazing individuals who happen to have met in high school and have stayed together ever since. Twelve years later, they decided to get hitched. Of course, being the romantic I am, I totally fell in love with their story. It wasn't too shocking either that Christine and I are one in the same, both super organizers and lover of people and our clients we hit it off right away and talked for nearly two hours on our first phone call. Christine owns CMS Interior Designs so she is always on the move and Bobby was just accepted to the Firefighting Academy in Cottonwood, Arizona {woo hoo!} so we had to act quick to get their engagement photos. We started their session at their very meeting place, South High School, {I know could you die at how cute that is!} and ended up on the gorgeous campus of UCLA because they both love architecture and since their first session was so formal, I treated them to a second session on the bluffs in my hometown, Carpinteria, for a more casual shoot with their two adroable babies, Morpheus and Marshall. :) Their wedding will be held on a private ranch in Escondido in June! Justine and Brook's engagement session at the Santa Barbara Mission Park was one that I loved so much! We used some old books, frames and a Polaroid camera to add some vintage flair to the scene of ancient oak trees and an Old Mission. Despite Justine's torn hamstring! she and Brook were such troopers tromping through the grass and rolling down hills together all the while hearing me yell, "You look amazing!!!" Which they did, of course. :) Click on the image below to watch their fun slide show! {Thanks again J+B! I can't wait for your Stow House wedding in October! XO}
