Sara + Derek Forever

Two days after Christmas, I had the absolute honor to be a part of a most intimate wedding on top of a most amazing mountain on the most gorgeous day. Sara and Derek were married at the Meditation Mount in Ojai. The views were breathtaking and along with Sara and Derek's wedding ceremony, performed by Sara's brother, Mark, their moments were so sweet and so genuinely beautiful. Throughout my short hour with them, Sara and Derek were laughing and giggling the whole time. They both have a similar humor to mine and requested their slideshow song be super fun and full of cheez. Although, their original request was to a Cher song, one I thought I had in my collection ... I hope what I dug out of my 80s rock-n-roll love songs will suffice for now. :) Congratulations you two lovebirds!

Baby Tyler: A Katie + Billy Production

I love babies. There are so many parts to making a portrait of a tiny newborn; his hands, his feet, his belly, his nose, his ability to urinate every five minutes when he is naked ... the list goes on. :)

I spent a very short hour with Katie and her newborn son, Tyler, while I was in Arizona visiting my family. I say short because I could have stayed there all night long, watching and laughing and snapping away. Katie and her husband, Billy, are the cutest couple and they are moving into parenthood quite beautifully. I'm sure Tyler keeps them both on their toes, diaper close at hand.

Thanks for the great night Katie and Billy and I can't wait to see you all soon!

Grace and Phillip

I caught these two as they were working up their Thanksgiving appetite. Gracie and Phillip were putting together a trampoline performance for all the adults to watch later on, so I thought I would capture, or at least attempt to capture the fun practice. You can never have too much fun on a trampoline! I love the way the photos turned out, most of the time I just held my camera up and hoped for the best ... not really, but I wanted it to look that way. :)

Jenna & Michael are married!

I was so excited the day of the wedding.  I've known Jenna Murrietta for some years now, being the friend of my baby sister, and watched her grow up and to be asked to photograph her wedding was more than an honor, it was a blessing.  When I first met Michael at their engagement portrait, it was like he was an insta-brother, and we've had fun ever since.  I arrived at the Murrietta home as Jenna was getting her make-up done by Stacy Frank. A few quick dress and detail shots and everyone was off to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where Sandy Walker of In Awe Events and her daughter and assistant, Kelsey, waited for us. It wasn't too long before my two amazing photographers, Emily Estfan and Cyndi Hardy, and I were snapping away at beautiful Jenna walking down the aisle and Michael's beaming grin and tearing eyes.  Some quick family photos in the church and headed over to Kiwanis park where the bridal party was having no fun at all.  The rest of the beautiful Arizona evening was spent with good music by Michael Mancini, food by Heidi's and dancing all under the roof of Church of the Holy Spirit beautifully decorated with flowers by Rachael Johnson.

Michael and Jenna, God made you for each other. Thank you for everything and I want to see pictures from Mexico. :)
