sometimes in the whirl of the wedding, the groom is often lost in the shadow of the dress. it is just as, if not more, emotional of a day for him as it is for her. photographers spend hours with the bride while she's getting ready for her big day, but where is the groom? most of the amazing shots i capture of the groom and his men happen before he says "I do". i absolutely love hanging out with the guys before the ceremony, there's never a dull moment! i put together this slideshow of just a few fun portraits as a tribute to the many grooms and groomsmen i have photographed over the years. i am completely in love with this family! i met nichole and g a few months back when i took pictures of the two of them for a mommy and me shoot. well, we had so much fun and the pictures turned out so great that we had to do it again! but this time with the whole gang! they were all wearing matching colors and were ready to go when i started taking pictures of them. they are an amazing family and have been through hard times, but shine with love. can you tell? thank you nichole, carlos, g and mia for adopting me! love love you all!

my good friends stephanie and thurston are having a baby! i've known steph going on 10 years and after all these years of friendship, she is a solid person in my life and beautiful as ever! when she called to tell me she was expecting, i was so excited for her! but i have to admit, i was secretly planning all the pictures i will be taking of their handsome baby boy. over the weekend, eoin and i drove over to la to celebrate their newest addition with family and friends. i don't think i've ever played so many baby games, and yes, i ate baby food too! it was great meeting their overjoyed families and being a part of a few short hours full of love and laughter!
