Natalie & J.P.

It reached 114 degrees in Scottsdale on July 11th, but that didn't stop Natalie and J.P. from exchanging their sacred marriage vows at St. Patrick's Church and celebrating at the Orange Tree Golf Resort.  Because of the extreme heat, 2 pregnant bridesmaids and guys in tuxes, my second photographer, Lexy Popa, and I were photographing everyone as fast as our shutters would go, and with the help of the incredible crew at the Orange Tree constantly filling water glasses, the evening was unforgettable!  Congratulations J.P. and Natalie Monte Carlo!!  Click Here to check out their adorable slide show!

Kids being Kids

While visiting Arizona last week, I got to hang out with my dear friend since Kindergarten days! and meet her three children for the first time. Hayden, Reagan and Cooper were such a blast to be around, and I seriously couldn't stop giggling at the dynamism between the three. I loved seeing Hayden and Reagan, the big kids who know how to pose for a picture {thank you Marci!} gently and subtly move Cooper, the 10 month old, into place, all the while trying not to laugh or sigh at his toddlerhood. They all are sooooo beautiful, just like their mom and dad!  LOVE YOU QUALE'S!!!  Can't wait to visit Peachtree City soon!

amy & stuart are having a baby

One of my favorite things about my career is that I am continually honored to be a part of the lives of my clients.  From baptisms to births to weddings to babies, I get to keep making photographs of these amazing life milestones.  It was so fun visiting with Amy & Stuart at the Santa Barbara harbor and witnessing their excitement for their newest adventure to come. Thanks again Amy & Stu for the fun jet ski ride!! {HIGHLY RECOMENDED! Santa Barbara Jet Boats} Keep us posted on the birth day!

Denise & John

High school sweethearts getting married in the backyard of their first home? I seriously have the best job in the world.  Their wedding was so DIY perfect, two rows of tables that doubled as the ceremony aisle, a driveway turned chic dinner buffet, and the awkward slab of concrete was packed corner to corner with dancing feet.  I loved getting to know Denise and John's families and capturing their joy and good fun.  Be sure to check out their awesome slide show.

Misa

Dunes Baby

My sister Marisa is in her third trimester and due on 9-9-09.  This week I got to see her for the first time since March and naturally, I cried when I first saw her.  I think pregnancy is incredible and the most trauma a woman's body will ever go through and yet look so beautiful the entire time.  Marisa is a nurse practitioner so she is fully knowledgable of just about everything to do with childbirth. As she and I practiced laying low in their RV while the rest of the crew tore up the Oceano Dunes in JC's sandrail, we watched two baby delivery shows, read up on Ina May's Farm and looked at all sorts of crowning photos.  Let's just say, I got my fill.  I am so excited to be there for the birth of my niece and capture it all on film .... well, we'll see. :)

"Her children rise up and bless her;
her husband also,
and he praises her,
saying:
'Many daughters
have done nobly,
but you excel them all.'"
