Justine and Brook's engagement session at the Santa Barbara Mission Park was one that I loved so much! We used some old books, frames and a Polaroid camera to add some vintage flair to the scene of ancient oak trees and an Old Mission. Despite Justine's torn hamstring! she and Brook were such troopers tromping through the grass and rolling down hills together all the while hearing me yell, "You look amazing!!!" Ahh Santa Barbara. How can anyone not love this place? I got to shoot at the Wilcox property recently and I realized it had been at least 6 years since I'd been there. I instantly fell back in love. I love the surfy feel of the area, the view from the bluffs, the trees, the sun, and oh the adorable couple that came along with me, Kathleen and Glen and their cute dog, Duke. :) What's even better is that Kathleen and Glen grew up here and will celebrate their wedding day at the gorgeous Biltmore resort, directly across the street from where Kathleen and her sister used to play on the beach when they were kids. When photographers talk about engagement portrait, please don't think it means you have to shoot the minute you get engaged.  Take for instance, Heather and Ryan, who live out of town and couldn't meet with me for their engagement shoot until a few days before their wedding day.  What a great time we had, just walking up and down Linden Avenue in Carpinteria.  Probably one of the funniest sessions I've ever shot, thanks to Heather and her infectious laughter. Sometimes there just aren't enough words to describe how romantic a wedding can be.  Well, Debi and Traci's celebration left me speechless.  When the day began, they were both so nervous and excited and eager to get on that honeymoon! Despite all the nerves, they had a warm and lovely ceremony at the B'nai B'rith congregation in Santa Barbara and celebrated their reception at the home of a dear friend.  Guests broke bread to an incredible dinner catered by Savior Faire Catering and danced til the sun went down to Music by Bonnie!
