every now and then my mom sends me random websites that she finds while browsing the net. i have no idea how she finds these sites, but they are so fun and unique and completely what i need for a creative recharge.

it doesn't take much to walk out your door and see art everywhere you look. especially if you live in a city where walls are like canvas to those who dare to be arrested for doing what they love!!

when i heard the news that polaroid film was no longer being manufactured, i immediately knew i had to find a way in photoshop to re-create the look of the famous instant snapshot. what do you think? {thanks jen and bruce for being my trial run!}

i am a nerd. i love to organize. seriously. so one of my projects this week was to 'group my photos' and i ended up with a cloud file! i told you i am a nerd. :) clouds are so beautiful and so mysterious. growing up in az i saw many awesome sunsets spanning across the desert, coloring the puffy never-ending sky. they're the original moving picture and every person i know has a cloud story.

a photographer's job is really so very personal when you think about it. we are always amongst the most sacred and intimate moments in life ... wedding day, pregnancy, first soccer game, wedding engagement, senior year in high school, birth, day at the beach ... just to name a few. :) i am truly amazed when i am involved in any or all moments life and i am blessed to meet AMAZING people every time! i am even more humbled when the amazing person i meet is a two year old boy named g. this weekend i got to spend a morning with g and his mom, nichole, on the beach just playing around and having a ball. g's spirit lifted mine immediately and the second i started making pictures i knew they were going to be amazing, just like him. thank you g and nichole for allowing me into your lives for an hour, an hour that i'll never forget. :)

yesterday was mother's day! a day that should be recognized EVERY day of the year. my good friend and neighbor natasha organista, mother of two gorgeous high schoolers, transformed her backyard into a mother's day paradise. can you tell that she is a coordinator? her business, occassions, puts together events and parties for everyone else's table. this day she decorated her own table for her own mama and boy was it fun! complete with sangria and chocolate, fresh berry salad and cake, what mom wouldn't love it! martha stewart watch out!!

i love taking pictures of vanessa. i still can't believe she's only graduating from high school! she is the most beautiful girl, and her smile is soooo contageous! she was a real trooper for me going out into the desert and sporting her delicate dress amongst the prickly and unforgiving cactus of mesa, arizona. she pretty much charmed the landscape!

i absolutely love engagement shoots! i always have so much fun with my couples, but jenna and mike have won the award for the most adorable couple! they really are in love and you can really see it in their photos. i mean, they couldn't stop kissing each other! i love that! we got to spend an afternoon together in downtown tempe, arizona just playing and having such a great time. to me, the most powerful bond between two people is sharing the incredible journey of knowing one heart was made for the other and that only our loving Maker could bring the two together. thanks for SUCH an awesome afternoon jenna and mike! i can't wait for your big day!
