I like to brag about the first time I saw these two souls in love. At first they wanted to keep it a secret, but a love as powerful as theirs is hardly quiet.  So after five years of making music together, they decided to shout it from a mountain top!! Figeuroa Mountain is a very special place to Stephanie and Bear, so it was all the more heartwarming to witness them exchange their wedding vows among family and friends at their favorite spot. Stephanie and Bear are incredible musicians and artists. When Bear plays guitar, people dance like noone is watching. When Stephanie sings, people feel every part of their soul. In her "spare" time, Stephanie is a graphic designer / creative genius, so, of course, she handmade everything for their wedding. Her dress, her Nordic inspired tiara, the invitations, the place cards, the programs, she even hand printed LOVE onto pieces of her silk wedding dress and crafted them into lavender sachets for her bridesmaids. Their wedding was truly a community effort. Their neighbor grew the flowers in her garden all year long, another neighbor made the wine AND was chef for the day, Bear's sister coordinated the day AND made the wedding cake, friends served each other dinner and provided musical entertainment for the rest of the night. And to top off the giving, in favor of their guests attendance, Stephanie and Bear gave baby chicks and honey bees to families in need through Heifer International.  It was truly a special evening full of so much love and goodness.  {Love you both!! Have I mentioned how much I love my job?  I know a lot of photographers claim the same, but it's honestly true. Being around the glow of a newly engaged couple is so fun and uplifting, it's impossible to be in a dump.  I give you Li-Yin and Bing, two of the most giggly people on the planet.  Li-Yin is the talker in the family, so when I met with them for their engagement session in Ventura, I was expecting Bing to be his quiet self.  Far from the truth!  Click on the image below to watch how much fun they had .... just being together  .... very much in love.  XO

What can I say about these two love birds?  I met Kim and Ari last Fall and we hit it off right away.  They both are so loving and appreciative of each other that it's easy to feel relaxed and welcome around them.  I was so excited to see them again when we met in downtown Santa Barbara for their engagement session.  What a blast!  Click on the image below to view their super fun slide show! April and Brandan were married at the historic Bodee's in Ojai, California.  It is such an amazing venue tucked away into the hillside, and so much history since it's been hosting dinner and events since 1953. April had a hand in every detail, from the ski lift ticket save-the-date to the birdcage centerpieces.
