On Saturday October 18th, I met Rachel and Johnny at the Upham Hotel for their getting ready pictures before their wedding ceremony. They were both so excited for their day to finally arrive, you could feel it. After some fun shots in the bathtub, the bride, groom, families, and bridal party went to Alice Keck Gardens for the wedding ceremony. The flowers and decorations created by Karen Fox were rich reds and purples that contrasted against the garden's natural greens, gorgeous! When Rachel walked down the aisle to Johnny, it was like a scene out of a classic storybook. The class is exactly what Rachel and Johnny wanted for their very special day. When Johnny broke the glass, it was Mazaltov! and off to the Hotel Mar Monte for hilarious and heartfelt toasts, delicious food and the best hip hoppin' dancin' I've seen in a long time.
Congratulations Rachel and Johnny! I hope you two had an amazing honeymoon and thank you so much for welcoming me into your families and lives.
Rachel and Johnny are married!
This morning I had the most fun I've had in days! I got to hang out with Cori, Landon and Payton at the ever adorable Lane Farms in Goleta. They were so much fun!! I seriously tried to keep up following after Landon, darting through pumpkins, hovering over Payton, all the while laughing and enjoying their childhood through my lens. I loved it! Cori's boys are not only an extreme joy to be around, they are handsomely just like mom and dad. Here are just a few shots from our Fun at the Farm! Thanks guys and I can't wait to hang out again!
Visiting Hearst castle in San Simeon is like taking a trip back in time. The place is kind of eerie with a stillness only a historical place could hold. I thought it appropriate to only shoot 1600 black & white film to honor the great William Randolpf Hearst and his legacy.
